Christopher Meunier

BSc holder in Agriculture with extensive experience in agronomy, irrigation, and agricultural mechanization. I worked as an agronomist in Mauritius then in Sierra Leone, Senegal, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe, on large-scale farms of 10,000 to 15,000 hectares. From 2020 to 2024, I advised the Rodrigues Regional Assembly on Agricultural and environmental projects. In 2019, I founded Save Our Rivers Ecosystems (SORE) to promote water conservation and launched SORE in Madagascar in January 2025. I currently work on a large-scale permaculture farm in Uganda, advising on sustainable agriculture. I have also been actively opposing the drilling of boreholes in river source catchments in Rodrigues to protect water resources. I also hold an Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering which gives me a good understanding of water management.
